Good morning! I'm Caeden.

I'm studying Computer Science at the University of Washington.

My life as a programmer began very young, when my dad introduced me to Kodu Game Lab. The visual programming interface helped me grasp basic concepts, and the 3D level editor let me create whatever I wanted. It was a really creative tool to help kids learn to program!

In High School, I took many Computer Science courses, up to AP Computer Science Principles. During the class, the teacher had us compete in a national competition by the Carnegie Mellon University CS Academy. We were tasked to create something with their web-based Python environment. I chose to create a game, a recreation of Super Hexagon. A few months later, it was revealed that I had won 1st place in the competition. My prize? A classroom set of stickers! I realized that my skills in programming is being rewarded, even if it was a bunch of stickers.

Ever since, my free time has been spent creating open-source projects. I've also had opportunities to work with many wonderful developers. Not only did I have a blast doing all of this, but these experiences have all shaped me into a better developer.
